Max's Grooming Kit

Grooming Max is non-negotiable. Kokopus (yes, real breed — see [/about](/about)) are double-coated and shed twice a year in a controlled disaster zone. Without a weekly grooming routine, the house is fur-colored by Thursday.

Why we picked these

We went through three brushes before this one. The slicker is the only one that gets all the way down to the undercoat without pulling. The grinder is the one that stopped Max's nail-trim panic. The mat stays put — Max doesn't slide when I'm working on back paws.

Not for

If your dog has a short single coat (pit, bull terrier, chihuahua), skip the undercoat rake. Just the slicker + grinder is enough.
